Financial Matters

Please mail your tuition payment (check or money order made out to Austin Girls' Choir) to the attention of the Business Manager, AGC, P.O. Box 49726, Austin, TX 78765. Please note what the payment covers on the memo portion of the check. The Choir is not responsible for loss of cash payments, and you are strongly urged to use checks or money orders in any Choir transactions. If you must pay in cash, please be aware that the Artistic Director will not accept the responsibility of passing on your payments to the Business Manager, and that some form of identification of payment must accompany any cash.

Tuition is $720 per year or $60 per month (fiscal year starts Sept. 1), and may be paid over the year by the trimester. Payment plans are outlined in the Chorister Agreement and Payment Agreement, both of which you sign, and reiterated in this folder's Parent Information Sheet. If you choose to make multiple payments, it is your responsibility to make note of payment due dates. A late fee will be charged if payments are overdue by more than one week.

Those desiring financial assistance scholarships must apply to the Board of Directors at the start of each trimester. Forms are available from Artistic Director Sara Burden-McClure (834-3694). In recent years, some Austin churches have also given tuition and travel scholarships to congregation members enrolled in AGC.

The Holt, Rinehart and Winston Scholarships have been available since September 2004 to choristers in financial need. These range from partial- to full-tuition scholarships, and may also include funding of performance-specific needs.
