Requirements for promotion to Middler Chorister

1. match pitch at all times, in head voice
2. diaphragmatic breathing
3. good, reliable vowel formation
4. clean intervals — no sliding!
5. understanding time signature & note values
6. knowing & singing starting pitch
7. showing a strong capacity to concentrate
8. thinks for self and sings out
9. ability to hold her own against other parts.
10. follows directions well

Requirements for promotion to Concert Chorister

1. good projection
2. clear diction
3. willing to lead in learning new music
4. reading music notation
5. ability to occasionally sing different voice parts
6. proficiency at basic sightsinging
7. understanding of intervals — can identify & sing them
8. positive attitude and demeanor
