Transportation Policies

After Juniors' rehearsal wait inside the building until her ride has arrived. It is not safe for children to be running around in the parking lot, particularly as other people using the building may not expect to encounter children as they drive through.

After a concert or trip — particularly in crowded public places — girls must sign out with an appointed adult before departing. We need to know that each is actually leaving with her parent or an adult to whom her parents have entrusted her.

If a parent is more than 10 minutes late for pick-up, we try to reach him/her by telephone. If a parent has still not arrived by 20 minutes after the end of practice, the adult waiting with the child will leave a note on the door (or, post-concert, with a stage manager) stating his/her next destination and will take the child with him/her.

Parents are responsible for setting up carpools (choir staff is not!). Look at your directory to see which families live near you. Many families take turns, with one bringing girls to practice and another taking them home.
